Subject: S Hwy 89 vehicle and pedestrian improvements Dear WYDOT, I urge you to install a traffic light and pedestrian crossing at the Stelleria Lane -Whole Food's Market intersection along S. Hwy 89. This intersection of Stelleria, Hwy 89, and Whole Foods is dangerous for all vehicles and pedestrians making their way through. As the community and businesses around us have changed, traffic has increased over the past 10 years and the danger has only increased. I know first hand of at least two serious accidents on the highway at this intersection in the past year. I'm sure there are others. Winter is especially difficult as the businesses shovel their snow into piles right at the corner of all the intersections along the towns right of way making visibility here more difficult. This light would go a long way to increasing vehicle and pedestrian safety along S. Hwy 89 in Jackson.

How many accidents were there in 2023 pulling into our out of WholeFoods Grocery in 2023?

This is needed badly. The entire intersection should be rebuilt. concrete divider needs removed so turning left is easier. The concrete curb pushes people into the right lane when turning left. Also the entire median on CY out to PV should be paved over to make a turn lane in the center like cy has going east.
