I support adding turn lanes on US287 near mile 410.60 for the intersection with Rawhide Road. The most important improvement is a left turn lane for southbound traffic. But I also suggest some kind of safety enhancement for northbound traffic turning right at this intersection. If it is too expensive to add a right turn lane for northbound traffic, please consider at least widening the shoulder south of the intersection.

I really hope 251 can last that long to be pushed back to 2031. I drive it regularly and there are spots that have dipped another 2 to 3 inches this past winter. If we get rains or flash freezes, it may fall more. There are visible cracks in the road and it is starting to tilt down the mountain in a few areas. also with the heavy truck traffic this past summer it is a washboard surface. The rock sides are also cracking very deeply in sections, ready to fall and create serious problems. There is also a visible cracking under the lookout point pull out. it has increased in width in the past year.

Capser's downtown cultural district along I-25 (and many state routes) is in need of EV chargers. Currently EV chargers for I-25 tourists are not located near key areas of economic activity and cultural significance in Natrona County, such as The Nicolaysen Art Museum, David Street Station, and other downtown amenities. This is bad for tourism brand management and destination marketing,–—as it results in poor visitor experience. This is also not ideal for economic development,--as chargers are generally not within walking distance of the county's densest restaurant and retail zone. Such capital improvement projects (i.e. constructing or funding construction of EV chargers in cultural and economic activity zones) brings revenue to the state and enhances brand perception among driving tourists.

I'm not sure that Casper Mountain Road can wait 7 years for repairs and improvements. There seems to be more traffic and damage every year from rain, mudslides, falling rock, and increased use. While I am grateful that repairs have been swiftly made to keep the road functional, it seems like it would be more cost effective to come through and fix the causes of the problems and not just the symptoms. Issues with the road seem to get worse each year and the community of mountain residents talk openly that they are afraid there will be a massive failure on the road. As a person who drives 600-3000 miles in the state every month (mostly on state roads), this road seems like it is the least safe road of any I've traveled. The road is a major outdoor recreation and tourism corridor, meaning it represents the Wyoming brand to visitors. In its current state, it is likely negatively impacting Wyoming's tourism brand.

221053 Project Big Creek Section State Highway 230. This section of Highway is very rough. The road won't last until 2032. Most of the winter its the only road to travel between Encampment and Laramie. Large petroleum trucks travel from Walden Area to Sinclair causing even worse damage. Please help!

Change the speed of 191 N. from milepost 3 to milepost 5 in both directions to 55 miles per hour. There is a huge increase in traffic getting on and turning off of 191 N in this area. The JY Road has a lot of traffic, getting traffic to slow down to get off to the east side of 191 at the Zip Storage entrance is almost impossible. Not only changing the speed to a slower speed but also by installing orange flags on the new speed signs, and enforcing the change is also necessary.

After all of the construction that was completed on WY-220 (Poplar st), between Collins Dr and Yellowstone, storm drains were never installed. This causes flooding on the southbound lanes any time it rains. They then close a lane so it can be pumped down with, what seems to be, a sump pump. There have been cutouts in the gutters for storm drains, for months now, yet, nothing seems to be happening. I feel like completing a project for improved drainage, should actually improve things, and not make it worse.
RESPONSE
Thank you for reaching out with your comments regarding the storm drains on WY-220 (Poplar Street) between Collins Drive and Yellowstone. Due to some unforeseen issues at this location, the completion of the storm sewer including the outfall into the river had to be delayed. The completion of the work is scheduled to resume soon with the contractor mobilizing to the site in early October and the work should be completed by the end of November. Thank you for your patience.

Hello I am the owner of a large portion of land in Laramie, Albany county. The parcel is between the proposed Bill Nye and 30st connection, as seen on one of the STIP pages and the Laramie master street plan. I can't seem to get a straight answer from anyone in over 20 years. I want to help and be involved if necessary.
RESPONSE
The Bill Nye Ave extension you referenced in our STIP is actually a City of Laramie project. WYDOT is involved because the funding used is Federal urban systems dollars that pass through WYDOT to the City. I gather that you may be more curious about a connection of the future 30th street to Bill Nye. I'm unaware of the City's future plans for 30th, they would be the best resource to answer that. For now, I can confirm that there is no connection shown on the plans for Bill Nye. The Bill Nye project schedule is unclear at the moment, the City is working with surrounding landowners to get all the necessary clearances.
